Welcome to Adapted Silence.
We are an unholy alliance of noise-ists with extensive credits in music for tv, film, gallery and vinyl long-player. We seek projects that require music and sound to amplify narratives, emphasise imagery and explore emotions. We love the unexpected, the strange and the ingenious. If we can record the bowed resonance of a submerged tank we will, but we're aware that in a very small number of cases this isn't necessary or appropriate. We understand briefs. We understand collaboration. We understand that one man's celestial chorus is another's riotous cacophony. Generally speaking we prefer not to write sparkling brass themes for light entertainment - unless it's Friday, in which case we'll also consider jingles, elevator music, pop pastiches and fine wine.
We want to make brilliant stuff. Get in touch.
Too many tomatoes
Back in the swing. Sea Patrol is number one for Nat Geo and nice comments about the music in Broadcast. Struggling to deal with a glut of Tomatoes from the allotment.
Clough on Itunes
Clough is some kind of number one download on Itunes
Holidays
If you ring now there'll be a long wait, we're recording cicadas in Puglia
Stuff On
Busy busy with docs for C4 and Wall to Wall. Ads for New York, and something for a museum in L.A. Oh and our Old El Paso ad is coming back on....trumpets at the ready.
